About

Purpose

Heart, Stone & Story was created to help you deepen your relationship with God by remembering who he is and what he has done. This blog is designed to guide your mind and hearts toward first getting to know God and his revelation, so that you can see Scripture and life through his perspective rather than through your own.

Just as God commanded his people to remember who he is and what he has done through marking sacred moments and sharing stories of his faithfulness, this blog serves as a space for personal reflection, biblical teaching, and living testimony.

Vision

Over the past year, God has taught me the importance of approaching Scripture by first asking, “What does this reveal about God?” Though I’ve been a Christian for over twenty years and have grown in strong, biblical community, I realized I had often overlooked this crucial starting point in my study.

Now, my heart is deeply committed to helping women—and my own children—learn to engage with God’s Word through this lens: to know God Himself first. By making God the main and first focus in our study, I believe it transforms how we interpret Scripture, apply it to our lives, and walk in faith.

My hope is that through teaching this approach, others will find greater clarity, depth, and joy in their independent Bible study, enriching their relationship with God in a lasting way.

Core Value and Beliefs

At the heart of everything I teach and write is a deep conviction in the truth of God’s Word. I believe that the Bible is the infallible and inspired Word of God, breathed out by the Holy Spirit, and fully trustworthy for all matters of faith and life.

I believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—each fully God, yet one in essence.

Salvation is found in one way alone: by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. This truth shapes how I understand God’s love and our relationship with Him.

I also believe that every person is created in God’s image and that He desires a personal relationship with each of us. It is only by God’s grace that I am able to study, understand, and share the life-changing truths of Scripture.

Above all, I desire that everything I do—whether teaching, writing, or living—be done to the glory of God.

Author

Hi, I’m Kaitlin Gardner — a pastor’s wife, mom of four, and passionate Bible teacher. For the past five years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching God’s Word, but my love for Scripture and encouraging women in the church has been growing for over a decade.

When I’m not studying or teaching the Bible, you’ll likely find me sipping a cup of coffee, curled up with a good book on my Kindle, or enjoying quality time with my family.

I’m so glad you’re here and hope to walk alongside you as we grow deeper in faith together.
